Llangollen Train Station

Another shot from my trip to Llangollen, in Wales. This time its across the tracks towards the town. On the other side of the railings (behind the bunting) is the river Dee. The bunting was being taken down after the Christmas festivities, so I was glad to get this shot in before it was removed.

At the weekend we travelled over to North Wales and the village of Carrog to catch the Kenneth Aldcroft steam train back to Llangollen. The weather was a lttle on the cold side, and there was a typical wintery mist the lingered in the air, reducing visibility down slightly. However it wasn’t enough to stop us enjoying our day out.
Barge on the Wheelock Canal

I’m quite lucky to have a series of canals quite close to where I live, and there is always plenty of water traffic about. This barge however, doesn’t look to have moved in quite some time.
This is the second of two photos taken about 15 minutes apart, this one looking away from the sunset.
