Fountains Abbey
This is a photo of Fountains Abbey, owned and operated by the National Trust, that I took last year. At the time I wasn’t really aware of HDR and the techniques used with it, so was only taking single exposure shots. Therefore this image has been forced down a pseudo HDR route using the Photomatix single file conversion software. The reason for doing this was to allow some light tonemapping to take place.
Lyme Park in Summer
This is another shot of the fantastic Lyme Park, in the Peak District, owned and operated by the National Trust. On this particular occasion, there was a group of musicians playing to the audience on the lawn (just off stage in the photo). This photo is similar to one I’ve posted before, but the weather wasn’t quite as brooding for this one, and the audience on the lawn adds to the scale of the building.
Biddulph Grange, Staffordshire
Biddulph Grange is another of those National Trust properties that is just up the road from where I live, meaning that I should get plenty of opportunities to go there and take some photographs. However, looking through my archives, I haven’t got that many images from there, so it must be due another visit.
Anyway, here are a couple of photos that I have taken in the past. The first is the main house taken from the edge of the Italian area, the second is the view from the house across the lake.
