F3 through Cascades at Oulton Park

F3 through Cascades at Oulton Park – F3 Testing 24th Nov 2009

The weather was typical late November fare at Oulton Park today; dark, murky, wet and cold, all helping to dull the colours (and my mood.) Due to the pretty horrid weather, I decided to spend some time looking for different angles rather than hitting the usual spots around the circuit.

This one is taken up the banking slightly over looking cascades, an area I’ve normally avoided due to there being crowds of people and a pretty narrow window of opportunity for getting a shot between a lamppost and a marshall hut, without hitting the lurid carlube banners. As you can see, I missed that opportunity completely here, ruining what would have been a reasonable shot by getting the car against that banner rather than the clean silver barrier.

I guess dropping the shutter speed right down was also asking for trouble, especailly given the conditions, but I perservered and got a few resonable photos from it. I’ll post a few more from this event over the next few days.
