I went out yesterday, late afternoon, with the intention of taking some nice scenic photos of snow covered fields at sunset, but unfortunately the snow was already melting, and the sun failed to make a last minute break though the clouds.

One of the great things about the Silverstone Classic is that the cars are not just trailer queens, brought to the show for people to look at without turning a wheel. All the cars are there to race, and this means that there are always opportunities to see the cars being driven hard. In the above photo, the Mustang is part way through the last corner of the Silverstone circuit, which was taken sideways in a supreme example of classic showboating.

I’m still in love with the 250 SWB, and Vincent Gayes yellow striped 1960 Berlinetta is probably one of my favourite examples of this car.

There were plenty of Lotus Cortina’s at the Silverstone Classic, all of which were being driven hard by their owners. This particular example really caught my eye, running in different colours to the more common white/cream examples.
