I went out yesterday, late afternoon, with the intention of taking some nice scenic photos of snow covered fields at sunset, but unfortunately the snow was already melting, and the sun failed to make a last minute break though the clouds.

A photo I took back in April this year. This is the text as I posted it on Flickr on that day -
Woke this morning to find the countryside blanketed with a covering of snow. Quickly threw on some clothes, and grabbed the camera to get outside before it all melted away.
Car was covered in ice, so had to get it cleared first, all the time watching for the sun getting too high. Finally got going, only to find that 30 yards down the road, there was a lingering mist over the fields and hedges.
